Require Repair Parts? Check Out These 3 Options!

Easily Source Repair Parts

If you’re fixing up a salvage or accident damaged vehicle, you’ll likely need one, or several parts to return the vehicle to road-safety standard. Instead of scouring the web for parts, start by reviewing the 3 fantastic options that are available here at Copart.

Option 1: Best for sourcing a large number of parts from a single vehicle.

A Category B Breaker vehicle can be a superb parts solution. Whilst a CAT B breaker vehicle cannot return to the road in its full form, it can be stripped of parts which can then be used to repair other vehicles. Category B vehicles are also known for their great value for money.

To buy a CAT B vehicle you will need to hold the correct licences and meet the requirements on our CAT B buying page.

If you don’t have a Category B License, you can use BreakerBid4U to pull a car for you

Alternatively, you can use BreakerBid4U. BreakerBid4U is our dedicated CAT B buying and breaking service which allows you to submit your maximum bid on a CAT B vehicle, via our online form. Our team will then incrementally bid on your behalf. If you win, we will arrange for you to attend a breaking session at one of our 6 breaker locations, where you can strip the vehicle of all bolted parts.

Once you have taken the parts that you need, our team will remove the engine and gearbox for you, using our equipment, which you can then take away.

The following parts are commonly dismantled during a BreakerBid4U session:

  • Engine
  • Gearbox
  • Suspension
  • Rear-axle
  • Steering rack
  • Steering column
  • Abs pump
  • Brake master cylinder
  • Wiring and engine control unit
  • Lights - front/rear
  • Bumpers - front/rear
  • Wings
  • Boot
  • Doors
  • Slam panel
  • Radiator
  • Aircon radiator
  • Seats
  • Dashboard
  • Instrument cluster

Option 2: Easily source parts for your repair project.

Do you spend hours finding parts for your repair projects? Through using our Donor Vehicles feature you can find your next project vehicle, and on the same page see available donor vehicles that could provide you with the parts you need for your repair. Donor Vehicles searches all our available stock to match make, model, age, and identify vehicles with alternative damage. These appear at the bottom of the Lot page, helping you find the parts you need quickly and easily.

Sourcing parts can be a time-consuming process, but with Donor Vehicles you can source your vehicles and parts all in one place.

Option 3: Pull your own cars using U-Pull-It.

Our sister company U-Pull-It provides a self-service breaking experience, to customers who are looking for one-off parts, or multiple parts through their Breaker Parts and Car Breakers options.

The Breaker Parts option allows you to pay a £1 entry fee, search the entire range of breaker parts vehicles and pull the available parts that you need. You will then pay for the parts on exiting the location. It’s that simple!

On the other hand, the Car Breakers option is similar to BreakerBid4U. You can search the Car Breakers stock available on the U-Pull-It website for your chosen location and pre-book a day to strip the vehicle of as many bolted parts as you require.

Note – Car Breakers stock is stored separately from the Breaker Parts stock, so you won’t need to worry about any missing parts. The Car Breakers stock will be more limited than you will find with BreakerBid4U, but it is a great option if they already have the vehicle, you are looking for!

Head to U-Pull-It to search their stock.
