Social Enterprise Statement

Commitment

At Copart UK Limited we continually review our approach to Corporate Social Responsibility to improve upon our commitments to business partners and colleagues.  This continually reaffirms our desire to act in a socially responsible way. As part of our commitment we are raising awareness of how we can both support and work with Social Enterprise (SE) businesses.

We already have business relationships working with social enterprise organisations and we will continue to review these by exploring opportunities with Social Enterprise UK (SEUK) and their regional bodies, identifying opportunities in which Copart will work with SE businesses to support them in their growth and development.

We will also raise awareness with our Copart Colleagues by sharing with them information about SE’s, informing them of SE campaigns so that they can be individual supporters.

Purpose and Aims

The purpose of the policy is to make clear to all stakeholders that we have a clear intention with regards to Social Enterprise and that we recognise that all businesses regardless of their set up have a role to play in creating a fairer, more sustainable world.

Our aim is to continue to have successful relationships with our existing Social Enterprise partners and to seek out new opportunities with Social Enterprise businesses by sharing our knowledge, skills and experience to help them in their continuing success.

We also aim to share opportunities with our colleagues to enable them to “give something back” by creating opportunities for them to work with Social Enterprises and to raise awareness of how they can engage directly with Social Enterprise businesses and thereby continue our commitment to Colleague Engagement.

Standards of business conduct

  • When carrying out our business we shall consider how the services Social Enterprise commission and procure might improve the economic, social and environmental well-being of the area
  • We shall operate in a way that safeguards against unfair business practices
