Here at Copart, we value making sure our Members have all the information they need to help them navigate the bidding and buying process. 

That is where our Support Centre comes in to its own, covering all the areas of Copart from becoming a Member to getting your auction wins delivered. In this article, we will guide you through the steps of registration and bidding. Getting started is easy. Simply create an account, by registering your name and e-mail address with us on our registration form. To bid on our vehicles, you must first become a member for which there is a £100 fee and provide some proof of identity. You can use any of these documents:

List A – If you are an Individual buyer based in the UK
Showing full name, photograph, residential address and DOB.
● Valid passport
● Valid photocard driving licence (full or provisional)
● EU member state ID card
● Northern Ireland Electoral ID card
● Shotgun/firearms licence

 

List B – If you are a Business or Overseas Buyer
This is in addition to the document from list A – showing full name and residential address. These should be dated within the last 3 months.
● Bank/building society/insurance company statement
● Mortgage statement
● Council tax statement
● Utility bill
● Telephone bill

 

Please note – it takes up to 48 hours for us to activate your account on receipt of the correct documents. If you don’t want to wait, you can make use of our Express Registration!

Once you have registered and become an active member, you can begin bidding and buying vehicles. There is a lot of bidding information you need to understand to be an expert at bidding (and winning) in our auction, but rest assured we’re here to help!
