What categories of vans do we sell?

Salvage Vans

We sell a number of salvage vans that have arrived at Copart through our insurance partners, these categories can include: CAT N, CAT S, CAT C and CAT D. These categories of vans have usually sustained serious structural to non-structural damage, and can be the ideal purchase for an experienced mechanic or someone looking to take on a repair challenge or conversion.

Used Vans

We also auction a wide selection of used vans which have arrived with us through insurance, personal sale, or through our trade sellers. These vans will be classed as CAT U – Used Unrecorded and can contain minimal damage, perfect for a buyer looking to take on a minimal repair job.

Another type of used van that we often auction is CAT X - Stolen Recovered vans. These vans were stolen from their previous owner and then recovered by the police at a later date. If the owner had already received a payout from their insurance company, the van would then be passed to us to sell via our online auctions. CAT X vans can contain minimal damage such as vandalism, and therefore make a great purchase for someone not wanting to take on a huge repair.

From premium brands such as Mercedes-Benz and Volkswagen to everyday favourites like Vauxhall, Ford and Nissan, and cost-saving makes Citroen, Peugeot and Renault, you’ll find an expansive variety of vans heading to an online auction near you.

Where can I get van parts?

We sell hundreds of CAT B vans through our auctions. Category B vehicles have been deemed unsafe to return to the road in their full condition, but they can be dismantled of working, used parts.

In order to buy CAT B vehicles, you will need to hold the appropriate licences and meet the requirements stated on our Buying Category B’s page.
