10) Luna Quasar / Avg £5,367

Inspired by NASA’s 1969 mission to the moon, the Lancashire-based caravan firm offers a handful of versatile ranges. The Quasar comes as 2 and 4 berth.

9) Compass Pentara / Avg £1,583

Compass has been making quality caravans since the 1970s. Now part of the Erwin Hymer Group, it revamped its range in 2017. The Pentara is one of its older established models.

8) Lunar Clubman / Avg £3,292

It’s another moon landing-inspired Lunar. The popular Clubman comes as 2,3 and 4 berth.

7) Avondale Osprey / Avg £3,008

Before Avondale went bust in 2008, it had a solid reputation for making sturdy, long-lasting caravans. Even today you can still see Ospreys heading down to Cornwall for the summer hols.

6) Sterling Europa / Avg £3,375

The Sterling brand, housed within the Swift Group, is rated for its affordable and lightweight designs. Swift revamped the range in 2007.

Bailey is one of Britain’s best-known caravan brands, with over 20 models and five ranges. The Senator is one of its most popular touring caravans.

Another Bailey, the Ranger is an evergreen classic. Prices for second-hand models are usually advertised between £6,000-£10,000.

3) Swift Challenger / Avg £5,750

A giant of the caravan market, what the Swift Group doesn’t know about caravans isn’t worth knowing. There are five Challenger models (2 and 4 berth), plus four Challenger X models (4 berth).

A highly respected UK brand, Elddis offers around 16 models. The caravans are rated for their flair, affordability, and technical specs. The Avante is one of the newer models.

To no one's surprise, the Pageant claims the Copart top spot for 2021. It's possibly one of best-selling caravans of all time. Layouts range from 2 to 6 berth.
