Pre-bidding You can pre-bid on a lot as soon as you see it on our website. Pre-bidding is available until 11am (UK sales) on the day of the auction. If you can’t bid on the live auction make sure you place a pre-bid to be in with a chance of winning.
Attend more live auctions. Pre-bidding is convenient, but there's no guarantee that the high pre-bidder will stay on top when the live auction rolls around. Joining live auctions also allows you to see final sale price of items.
Understand the difference between pure sale, on approval and minimum bid. Our newer Members may not understand why they didn't necessarily win an item outright if they were the high bidder. Chances are, they were bidding on approval-required or minimum-bid vehicles and needed to work out the final price with the Seller. Pure sale items, on the other hand, don't have minimums or require approvals.
Be Prepared and keep an eye on time estimates If at all possible, try logging into your account and joining an auction just before the start. That way there’s no last minute rush to login and get set up. Time estimates are great for giving you an idea of when a vehicle is going to appear ‘on the block’ however we recommend you use this as a guide. Be sure to frequently check where your vehicle appears on the list, that way you wouldn’t run the risk of missing the vehicle.
Check your bid status Keep an eye on your bid status so you know exactly what you have and have not won. This can be found after login “Bid Status” tab.
