With so many stunning classic cars heading through our auctions every day, it’s hard to pick the ‘perfect’ classic. But with the Porsche 911 Targa SC, we think we could be pretty close…
On November 19th, you’ll be thrilled to see a 1981 Porsche 911 Targa SC cruising to auction in Sandy.
So, what is the Porsche 911?
Known as one of the world’s finest sports cars, the iconic 911 has undergone continuous development since its introduction in 1963 and can be found in over 30 different modifications!
Titled by ClassicCarsForSale as the “perfect everyday sports car”, the model from new has been praised for its comfortable interior, competent performance, fun drive and of course, it wouldn’t be a classic without a terrific noise which encourages you to push harder.
Focusing on the Targa SC…
The Targa model (first introduced in 1967 in an attempt to meet the safety requirements of the US market), is a small sports car with a stainless-steel clad roll bar and a removable roof panel. The SC which stands for “Super Carrera” means that this is a sports car designed for fast driving and racing.
Overall, this is an ideal model if your buyers are looking for an open-top sports car with vintage charm to ‘nip around in town’ in, or ‘hit the race track’ with.
