Winner Announced! The BreakerBid4U Prize Draw Results…

This summer we launched a prize draw, exclusive to BreakerBid4U customers giving them the chance to win a FREE Breaker Rental – equivalent to a huge saving of £120 off their next purchase.

And after a number of amazing submissions, we are happy to announce that the winner was Aidas Stockunas who provided us with his Salvage Seat Ibiza ‘Success Story’. Well done Aidas!

We often hear how BreakerBid4U aids Members in their salvage repairs by providing a cost-effective solution for sourcing used parts from CAT B Breakers and we wanted to show you how this works using Aidas’ story below.

Starting with Salvage

Deciding that he wanted a salvage vehicle in need of repair, Aidas started his repair journey by purchasing a Category S – ‘Repairable Structural’ Seat Ibiza through our auctions (see below). His next step was to get hold of some parts that could be used to restore this damaged vehicle.

After hearing about BreakerBid4U (which allows non-breaker licence holders to purchase CAT B’s and break them for parts) he decided that this was the best option for him.

He then found the make and model of vehicle that he wanted and subsequently submitted his maximum bid through BB4U… a few days later, he won the vehicle at auction!

Pulling the Parts

As the vehicle was located at Sandwich (also one of the three BreakerBid4U breaker facilities), Aidas saved money on transportation of the vehicle and was able to attend the Sandwich yard for his breaking session the following week.

Before his arrival, our BreakerBid4U team prepared the vehicle by removing the engine and gearbox, and draining the vehicle of any liquids. This meant that when Aidas turned up, no time was wasted, and he could start dismantling the bolted parts he required from the vehicle straight away.

Finishing the Repair

Once he had the parts at his disposal, Aidas was able to restore the CAT S Seat Ibiza to a high standard and return it to the road.
