Buying Category C Vehicles

Here at Copart we sell thousands of Category C vehicles each year, ranging from cars to motorcycles, HGVs and more.

What does Category C damage mean?
Category C vehicles are classed by the Association of British Insurers as “REPAIRABLE total loss vehicles where repair costs including VAT exceed the vehicle’s pre-accident value (PAV).”

Why buy Category C vehicles?
Our customers choose to buy Category C vehicles for many reasons.  These could include Body Shop owners or car dealerships looking to purchase vehicles that require repairs for great value to repair and re-sell; others buy vehicles from Copart for parts or personal restoration projects.

Who can buy Category C Vehicles?

To remove a VIC marker the vehicle must pass a VIC test...Find our more
