Who Can Buy Salvage Cars at Auction?

Anyone can buy an accident damaged vehicle from Copart, as long as you have the knowledge and skill required to repair the vehicle as well as being registered on our website and have an active account having agreed to our Trade Terms and Conditions.

However, buying Category B vehicles slightly differs but is just as easy as buying any other vehicles on our website. The only difference with buying Category B vehicles is that the Buyer must hold and be able to send us the required licences so we can authorise and allow them to purchase vehicles of this category.

At Copart, we understand that buying salvage cars online could be a risk, so we highly recommend that our Members take the time to view a vehicle prior to placing a bid. Just call the facility where the vehicle is being stored and arrange an appointment.

Can You Buy Used Vehicles at a Salvage Vehicle Auction?

Yes, as well as salvage cars, Copart also sell Used Unrecorded vehicles which can vary from moderate damage to light damage such as minor dents and scratches.

Buying used vehicles at auction could save you a considerable amount over buying a used car at a dealership, and if you have the skills and knowledge required to repair and restore the vehicle, you could have the potential to make a decent profit when re-selling.
