When you’re checking off what makes a great summer, many would say great weather, a nice holiday or just to put your feet up and relax. But, for motorcycle enthusiasts it’s simple, sinking your teeth into a bike rebuilding project is the key to enjoying the summer months…
Nothing matches that feeling of accomplishment when you find an otherwise condemned motorcycle, donate some time and effort to it, and see it return to the road in all its glory. None of this would be possible without the great deals available from motorcycle salvage facilities, of which Copart is one of the market leaders, with 15 facilities which stretch to every corner of the UK.
In our auctions, you’ll find CAT B (parts only), C, D, S, and N salvage motorbikes which include all the big Japanese, German, Italian and British brands and some of the smaller Chinese brands all for fantastic prices. In addition, we also sell a selection of used motorcycles with minimal damage, ideal for those who want to take on a smaller challenge.
How to Bid on a Motorcycle at Auction
Copart’s motorcycles are sold exclusively through online auctions and require customers to sign up for a Member account before bidding. Please note that activation can take a few days as we need to check your documents, so if you want to bid in a particular auction make sure you give yourself plenty of time.
After signing up, take the opportunity to browse through all our motorcycles for sale, remember that we strongly recommend that you to come to the facility and have a look at them, as the picture and description is purely for convenience and should only be used as a guide. When you’re sure about a bike, you can submit any preliminary bids on all motorcycle salvage lots prior to the auction to give yourself a better chance of winning. You can also take part in the live auctions to keep up to date with the price so that you don’t get outbid.
After winning the auction, contact the facility to organise the payment and collection of your vehicle. Bear in mind that it can get very busy in the days following our auctions, so it’s always advised to ring ahead. Alternatively, if you are unable to make it to the facility, Copart offer a delivery service to any address on the UK Mainland, this can also be organised through the facility.

Top Motorcycle Salvage Picks This Week
With the endless June rain set to finally stop and a glorious summer just around the corner, what better time to find a motorcycle salvage lot to get your teeth into?
Below are a few lots that we think are amazing finds!
Yamaha YZF R1 – Lot 37640899
This Yamaha YZF is a CAT N write off with primary damage to the side, but the damage is non-structural, so with a few repairs and the right care and attention, this motorcycle could hit the road again this summer. It is located at our Sandy facility, just to the east of Bedford in Bedfordshire. It's 12 years old and has only 23,543 miles on the clock.
Piaggio MP3 500 LT – Lot 35157689
Another CAT N write off, this 2019 Piaggio has suffered damage to its front end following an accident. It’s less than a year old and with just 222 miles on the clock, it has plenty of potential to be repaired and re-sold for a great price.
Triumph Thruxton - Lot 39135879
Another gem is this Triumph Thruxton. A very well engineered and premium motorcycle, this CAT N write off could be a bargain to the lucky winner of the lot at auction. At just 3 years old, this well-reviewed motorbike could prove to be a fantastic investment for you.
