What is a Recreational Vehicle/Motorhome?
A recreational vehicle (often shortened to RV) or motorhome is a portable accommodation solution, that also contains cooking, washing and toilet facilities. RV's (also known as Motorhomes and Winnebagos) are different to caravans as they tend to be derived from a van or large vehicle, this means that they are self-powered and therefore do not need to be towed. Motorhomes are usually used for travelling and holidays, but they can also be used as a form of permanent accommodation.
