Repossessed vehicles sold at Copart are different to the vast range of salvage categorised vehicles we sell in that they often require little to no work and are more often than not the same condition as a used vehicle.

Repossessed vehicles arrive at Copart having been obtained from licenced credit brokers and are usually as a result of missed finance payments for the vehicle. As a result the vehicle is seized from the owner and eventually delivered to one of our facilities.

Who can buy a repossessed vehicle?
Anyone can buy a repossessed vehicle from Copart so long as you have registered on our website and are an Active Member having agreed to our terms and conditions.

How do I register to buy repossessions?
To register, simply fill out the registration form on our Registration page. Once you submit the registration form, you will be sent a confirmation email containing your login information and password. Passwords are usually emailed within five minutes.

I’ve seen a repossessed vehicle that I like, can I view it before bidding?
Yes! We always recommend that Members take the time to view a vehicle prior to bidding and buying.

Who should buy repossession?
It totally depends on what you’re after however, a repossession is more likely to be suited to a trade buyer dealing with consumers rather than a salvage buyer looking to fix up and sell on a vehicle.  Take the time to read each vehicle description so you can make an educated decision on which vehicle is best for you.

Do I need to worry about finance still on a repossessed vehicle?
All vehicles entered into Copart auctions have either had their finance markers removed from the Hpi register, or will be cleared on the day payment is received by Copart, therefore a Member can buy with total peace of mind.
